Reflection

I can think about what I already know when learning. I can set goals in my learning. I can act upon my next steps in my learning.

Metacognition

I can plan my learning. I can examine my own thoughts/strategies. I can check my learning. I can evaluate my learning.

Our Hill Avenue Learning Beahviours will enable our children to develop the skills and traits that will allow them to strive, aspire and succeed in all walks of life.

The Learning Behaviours are important because:

They draw attention to the processes of learning.
They are positive dispositions and habits for learning.
Our children are more likely to engage rather than be passive.
They will help develop deeper understanding.
They provide a range of criteria against which our children can evaluate their progress and their effort in their learning.
